Recently Sheffield Concord Netball Club held its Annual Presentation Night in the Glacier Suite at Ice Sheffield, with special guest ex England player Tracey Neville who presented the trophies.  The netball club have had a fantastic season with membership increasing to well over a 100 members ranging from year 5 up to 50 years of age.  Such is the growth of the club that new awards were introduced at U11and U19 age groups.   

Players of the Year went to : 

U11 Verity Parker

U12 Imogen Parker

U14 Grace Black

U16 Abbie Guerrier- Sadler

U19 Nina Pullman

Senior Player of the Year- Jo Smith

 

Most Improved Players of the Year to: 

U11 Lizzie Barratt

U12 Natalie Lee

U14 Lucy Johnson/Rebecca Normington

U16 Anna Wright

U19 Charlotte Crowley

Senior Most Improved- Catherine Donkin

Sheffield Concord's Annual Presentation Night is on Friday 8th May 2009 at "Ice Sheffield" with special guest "Tracey Neville".  Tickets cost £4 and will be available from your coaches - there will be presentation games and food.  Parents are welcome to attend. This is going to be a great event and I look forward to seeing you there.  Many thanks. Liz
South Yorkshire League Finals - played on Monday 20 April 2009

Concord A U14 played Stormers A in the final and won easily taking the title of South Yorkshire U14 League Champions, the B team had a tougher game for third place and just beat Stormers B by 12 points to 11. The U16 team also played in the finals and the Concord B team lost out to Barnsley Aces in the final with the A team convincingly winning the 3rd spot against Stormers A.  Well done to all the girls who have played consistently well all season in the league matches on a Monday night.

Netball Skills Sunday

The next Year 5,6,7,8 and 9 Sunday session is a netball skills day on Sunday 26th April at Goals soccer centre 2-4pm

See U14 Page 3 photos from the U14 Tournament last Saturday 28th February when the B team won the B/C competition with the C team coming 4th and the A team won the A competition qualifying them as No 1 in South Yorkshire for the Regional U14 competition

I must add my praise to the U16 team on Sunday I thought they played fantastically and with stood some tough opposition, it was a pleasure to watch them all compete so well. Many thanks,  Liz

SENIORS and 6pm Thursday Group Training: Extra training session will take place at All Saints School/Goal Soccer Centre at 12 - 1 on Sunday 8th March 09.  Back at EISS on Thursday 19th March
